Patrick Eaves impatient to return to Ducks lineup after a year-long layoff

Patrick Eavesa€™ route back to the Ducksa€™ lineup has taken far longer, been more arduous and less certain than he would have imagined, and ita€™s not over yet. The veteran wing returned to the ice to skate with his teammates for a second consecutive day Tuesday at Honda Center.

Eaves hasna€™t been cleared to play, however.

His surgically-repaired shoulder is better, but ita€™s not sound enough to allow him to return to the lineup and stay in the lineup. He continues to clear small hurdles on the way to an uncertain reunion with his teammates, but no target date has been established.

At least not one he and the Ducks would be willing to share, anyway.
