DevilsA ownerA Josh Harris, like everyone else, knows forwardA Taylor Hallis eligible to sign a contract extension on July 1, 2019.

TheA NHL MVPA has two years left on his current deal before he can become an unrestricted free agent, but Harris said a new deal for Hall tops the organization's priorities for next summer.

"High. The highest. He's committed, he's authentic, he is an amazing player obviously," Harris said. "He'sA a guy you build around. Whether it's him, Nico (Hischier), Will (Butcher). Taylor is definitely going to be front and center, so it will definitely be a high priority. I hope I'm working with Taylor for a long time."

Hall currently makes $6 million per season on his current contract, and his next deal will certainly carry a considerable raise. The Devils have the cap space to make it happen.

Hischier,A ButcherA andA Sami Vatanen, along with Hall,A will be eligible for contract extensions next summer. Butcher is already eligible, since he has just one year left on his two-year entry-level contract, but he likely won't re-sign until next summer as a restricted free agent.
