Bruins sign defenseman Tommy Cross to one-year, two-way contract

The Bruins have signed defenseman Tommy Cross to a one-year, two-way contract, general manager Don Sweeney announced this morning.

The contract, which runs through the upcoming 2017-18 season, is worth $650,000 at the NHL level.

Cross, 27, has been a career AHL player in Providence and has played in just three games for the B's since being drafted by them in the 2007 draft.
