Ottawa Senators defenceman Dion Phaneuf is not expected to waive his no movement clause ahead of the Vegas expansion draft, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie.

The Senators are projected to protect Erik Karlsson and Cody Ceci in the expansion draft and will now have to protect Phaneuf as well. That will expose Marc Methot, Mark Borowiecki, Chris Wideman and Frederik Claesson to Vegas if the Senators dont work out a deal ahead of the expansion draft.
